Feb 23rd SADC: Sisters

Added goggles to the little girl and let the ladies interact with each other. They're developing a good bond, it seems

Feb 22nd SADC: Girls

Working on these two as a pair. Still working.

Here's the pair from two previous sketches (here and here) photoshopped together.

Still working with this.

Feb 20th SADC: Sketchatacular

Really want to work on motion a little more. Liking the little girl character. May experiment with it further.

Feb 18th SADC: Figures

I was much more inspired today, even if the figures weren't exactly how I wanted. I like the little portrait on the right.

The guy on the stool was copied from this...which is just PHENOMENAL. So inspired from that work.

Feb 15th SADC: Looking Around

Lousy floating heads. *grumblegrumble* I have no time right now...or inspiration, sadly. Boo.

Feb 14th SADC: Lovely, Long-haired, Lasses

Can't believe I didn't draw something ROMANTIC on Valentine's Day! How unlike me. Oh, well. LADIES.

Feb 12th SADC: Tiny Little Heads and Faces

Tiny little heads and faces,
Looking for their certain places,
Where they won't be such disgraces,
Failing at the open races,
For they cannot keep the paces,
Of the axe man or his maces.

Feb 11th SADC: Ghost Mom

I saw "Mama" a bit ago and I couldn't get it out of my head that it was like, "What if a ghost raised TWO KIDS?!" like some kind of hokey sitcom. And then I was like, "She was a terrible mother...it's a good thing her kids got taken away." And then it made me think of Maury shows and...well...this....

Feb 9th SADC: Goblin and Boy

"If I ran into that in the woods I would look at that and go, 'goblin'."

And..."boy"...I guess.

Goblin = this guy

Feb 8th SADC: Before Bed

Sorry for the darkness of this one. It was very lightly sketched before bed. I had such a busy day and was EXHAUSTED. :P Ah, well.

Feb 7th SADC: Got My Eye on You

The girl got more of a response, so I'm trying her out and working with the boy. Working on both of them, really.
Hey...hey...I'm watching you....

Feb 6th SADC: Boy vs. Girl

Working out some character designs...I had a teenage character and I wasn't sure whether I wanted to make male or female and so created these two examples. Which do you think? Boy or girl?

Feb 5th SADC: Character Attempts and a Savage Girl

Double feature, so to speak, today! I decided to do some work during my sketch challenge and have started on some new character designs for a different project. I also had a little bit of sketching time before my class began so I sketched the girl.

Yes!  I've started a new class and I am just SO excited for it! I may post some of the work I'm doing for it here. For now, just BEFORE class sketches. Fun!

Feb 4th SADC: Beginning of the Third Sketchbook

It's like a pencil spasm! I wanted to draw something SUPER INTERESTING and kind of ended up with...whatever I wanted. Which was a lot of familiar stuff and then this...weird monster where EVEN I DON'T KNOW HOW IT WORKS.

What is this...I don't even....

Feb 3rd SADC: End of the Second Sketchbook

Finished my second sketchbook, HOORAY! It's only 100 sheets, but I use both sides, so it lasts me awhile. These sketch books get so beat up!  Luckily, I have a crisp, new one for tomorrow.  The last sketch and the first sketch in the book are always difficult for me.  I feel I should always start and end with something impressive...and then it ends up being WHATEVER I FEEL LIKE DRAWING.  Ah, well.

Nyah.

Feb 2nd SADC: 93 Million Miles

I felt like today was just SLIGHTLY off with the poses. Almost there but...not quite. I drew in a coffee shop, mostly. It was very artsy. The title for this one is from the song "93 Million Miles" by Jason Mraz. I feel like that either IS the song, or there's a similar song that the character's playing on the guitar.

Oh, and the boys are playing football PURELY COINCIDENTALLY.  I had no intention of referencing the Superbowl when I made it.  Maybe all the hype just seeped in.

Feb 1st SADC: Paperman

I watched "Paperman" before drawing this...but I didn't really reference it. Kinda wish I had.

"Paperman" stole every inch of my heart. It simply NEEDS to be watched.
